America Come Home, Rafael's most recent release, is a socially conscious high-energy collection of songs in keeping with the great folk tradition- a genre that Rafael has mastered. The album was released through Inside Recordings, a label started by Jackson Browne, and features the award winning single "Dance Around My Atom Fire," a co-write with Woody Guthrie. Joel has a long history of carrying on the legacy of Woody Guthrie through two prior cover albums Woodeye and Woodyboye.

Joel Rafael has been writing and performing since 1978 and over the past decades has released a stunning collection of eight Americana albums, and has opened for acts such as Rick Danko, Emmylou Harris, John Lee Hooker, John Stewart, Laura Nyro and Taj Mahal. He has collaborated with artists such as Crosby, Stills & Nash, Jackson Browne and Rosie Flores.
